Study in USA

Study in USA from Faisalabad: the USA study visa from Pakistan explained

A plain guide to the I-20, the F-1 visa, the short interview and work after study, with honest advice on what your profile can aim for.

  • I-20, SEVIS fee and DS-160 explained
  • Calm interview preparation
  • No fee to assess your profile

What do students from Faisalabad need first?

You need admission to an SEVP certified school (Student and Exchange Visitor Program), which then issues your Form I-20. Choose a school and programme that fits your earlier study, your budget and your plan, and check that the school is certified before you pay any deposit.

If you are comparing countries, our guides to study in Canada and study in the UK may help.

What are the steps for the F-1 visa?

  1. Apply to schools and receive admission.
  2. Receive your I-20 and check every detail on it.
  3. Pay the SEVIS fee.
  4. Complete the DS-160 online form.
  5. Book your appointment at the US embassy or consulate.
  6. Attend the interview, where the officer makes the decision.

The US embassy and SEVP pages give the current forms, fees and steps.

How should I prepare for the visa interview?

The interview is usually short, and the officer decides on the day. Be ready to explain in simple, truthful words why you chose this school and programme, how you will pay, and what you plan to do afterwards.

Practice questions can help you feel calmer, but do not memorise a script. Answers that sound rehearsed or do not match your documents can hurt you. We practise real answers with you, and we cannot predict the officer's decision.

The I-20 lists estimated costs for the first year, and you must show you can meet them. Officers want to understand where the money came from and who is sponsoring you. Use real, explained funds. Late unexplained deposits and borrowed money shown as savings cause problems, and a false document can lead to a long ban.

What about work after study?

Optional Practical Training (OPT) is available to eligible students, and some eligible STEM degrees allow a longer STEM OPT period. Eligibility depends on your degree and the rules at the time, so ask your school's international office and check the official pages. Do not choose a course only for work after study. See how our office works or contact us to begin.

What this page is and is not

This page is general information to help you prepare questions. It is not legal advice and it is not an offer of a visa or a place. Rules, fees and funds figures change, so please confirm every detail on the US embassy and SEVP websites before you rely on it. Universities decide admissions and the visa authority decides each visa, so no consultant can promise either result. If your profile is weak or a plan looks unrealistic, we will tell you honestly.

Questions about best consultant faisalabad in Faisalabad, Pakistan

What is an I-20 and who issues it?

The I-20 is a form issued by an SEVP certified school after it admits you and sees your funding evidence. You need it to pay the SEVIS fee and to apply for the F-1 visa. Check that your name, programme dates and costs are correct before you use it.

Do you offer interview practice?

Yes, we practise likely questions with you so you feel calmer and can explain your plan in your own words. We do not give scripts, and we cannot predict the result. The consular officer makes the decision on the day, based on your answers and documents.

Can I get a scholarship for a US university?

Some universities give merit scholarships, but amounts differ by school and programme, and many students receive none. We help you find options and apply, but we cannot promise any scholarship. Always read the offer carefully and ask what is renewable.

I have a study gap. Can I still apply?

You can apply, but the gap needs a truthful explanation with real evidence such as work, courses, family reasons or health. We never invent experience or papers. We help you present the real facts clearly, and we tell you if the risk looks high.

What if my US visa is refused?

A refusal is not the end, but it needs thought. Read the reason, fix the real weakness and reapply only when something has changed. Our visa refusal help page explains how we read a refusal letter with you and say honestly whether reapplying makes sense.

Do you charge to assess my profile?

No. There is no file-opening or registration fee to assess your profile. If you decide to go ahead, any service fee is explained in writing before you pay anything, so you can compare it, ask questions and take your time to decide without pressure from us.
